She Codes Art's first She Speaks Summit was a a free one-day conference for girls in 5th-12th grade in the greater Seattle area held on Nov 3rd at the Redmond Community Center. The event was an immense success with 40+ girls in attendance who participated in exciting workshops that explored topics in artificial intelligence (such as machine learning and neural networks) and how they intersect with art. The girls had the chance to architect their own neural networks, create neural art on meaningful social themes, and experiment with several machine learning tools. Additionally, the conference featured TED Style talks and a Women in Tech panel with professionals from Microsoft, Amazon, Facebook, Stanford University, and the University of Washington! The girls had the unique opportunity to network with these inspiring women tech professionals.
